Isaiah 26:3-4 NIV
3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. 4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.
My favorite place to be is in God’s hand where He promises peace—perfect peace, no less!—but what’s really striking is how we get that peace: by trusting God and staying steady in our minds. Here’s the thing: life is full of things trying to shake us up—stress, deadlines, family drama, and let’s not forget the mental gymnastics we all do when we’re overthinking. But God’s saying, “Sis, I’ve got this.”
Think of it like having the ultimate life-long subscription to “Peace That Passes Understanding.” But here’s the catch: the subscription isn’t renewed by you doing all the right things, it’s renewed by keeping your mind anchored in trust. God’s peace isn’t flaky or inconsistent—it’s rock solid. So, while life might feel like it’s throwing curveballs (or a whole pitcher’s worth), God’s telling you, “Stay focused on Me, and I’ll steady you.”
And let’s be real—who wouldn’t want to rest in that kind of peace, rather than our usual worry marathons? It’s like swapping out a pair of uncomfortable heels for some heavenly sneakers: you’ll walk lighter, straighter, and much more confidently. So, girl, trust God, lace up those shoes of peace, and watch how He keeps you in perfect step with Him!
Isaiah 40:29-31 NIV
29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
You know those moments when you’re running on empty—mentally, emotionally, spiritually—and you feel like you can’t take another step? Well, this is God’s assurance that He doesn’t just give you a pep talk and leave you hanging. He’s handing out strength like it’s Black Friday, no strings attached!
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” That’s not just a cute phrase, that’s God showing up when you’re weak and overwhelmed, whether it’s dealing with work, family, or just the constant grind of trying to hold it all together. But then comes the real kicker—even when those who seem to have it all together (young and energetic people) get tired, those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
We try to do it all on our own and end up crawling, but God says, “Put your hope in Me, and I’ll have you flying.” Not literally (unless you’re booked for a skydive), but in that supernatural sense where you suddenly find yourself soaring through what you thought was going to break you. You won’t just make it—you’ll soar like an eagle, run without getting tired, and walk without giving up. And for all of us who’ve faced those “I just need a nap” moments, this is the recharge we need.
So next time you’re feeling drained, remember God isn’t offering just a cup of coffee—He’s offering wings. Trust Him to renew you, and you’ll find yourself running through what you thought you’d never survive!
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Y’all this verse gives… God is saying “Don’t panic, I’ve got you” - and I need that reminder. When life gets overwhelming, and the fear starts creeping in, He’s not asking us to muster up some superhero courage. Instead, He’s saying, “Do not fear, for I am with you.” It’s like having the ultimate bodyguard, but instead of just protecting you physically, He’s guarding your heart, mind, and soul.
When God says, “I will strengthen you and help you,” He’s reminding us that He’s not watching from the sidelines—He’s in the game with us. Think of it like when your phone is on 1%, and you’re scrambling to find a charger, but God’s like, “Don’t worry, I’m your power bank, always fully charged.” Whatever situation has you feeling powerless or unsure, God promises not only to give you strength but also to uphold you. And we’re not talking about a weak, shaky hand here. It’s His righteous right hand—meaning, there’s no way you’re slipping out of His grasp!
So, when fear starts doing the most, remember that God is saying, “Nope, not today.” You’re not alone, and He’s got everything you need to make it through, holding you steady and strong.
